The Origin:
SWARG origin was in the year 2002, to facilitate collaboration between the government, International Agencies, likeminded persons and community based organisation by working in the area of socio-economic development. Head Office is located in Bharatpur District of Rajasthan(India), with field offices are spread across the districts of Rajasthan
We work, mainly, towards the developmental endeavours concentrated in and around the followings: Health (Including HIV/AIDS), Education, Livelihood and PRI (Panchayati Raj Institutions or local governments), with the major focus on issues pertaining to women, children and youths, through our ‘grass-root oriented’ state of the art programme implementation strategies.
The major theme which had guided our foundation-stone laying was to bring smile to the thousands who, out-there, endure the wrath of the disadvantageous conditions inside which they helplessly ‘find’ themselves to be imprisoned, both personally and professionally. These ‘phenomena of disadvantage’, most of the time, sprout as a direct consequence of their flawed perceptions about the happenings inside and outside the ambits of their dwelling. They perceive things to be insurmountable and this sense of perception brings about the onset of their ‘perceived’ sordid states of affairs. Starvation led deaths, atrocity engineered sufferings, outdated-social-taboo related traumas, and many such effects come into their lives by their sole act of ‘perceiving hopelessness’…… Perceiving hopelessness out of impulsiveness, not out of rational thinking, and letting the gloom of disadvantage engulf them!
With this backdrop, we – as the crusaders against disadvantage and difficulty – have identified ‘people’s perception management’ as the precursor to success for our developmental endeavours, in order to give a fillip to the spreading of the phenomenon of socially and economically equity-based living into deeper pockets of the disadvantageous sections of society. In this quest, we have zeroed in on the following as most overwhelming factor which has caused far-reaching annihilation to our society: ‘Ignorance’ about the available choices, which could alleviate their precarious states of living. This, along with gender-inequality, illiteracy, poverty, discrimination, social stigmas and myths, and many such debilitating elements, those are ‘unfortunately’ prevalent across our societal stratum, have further augmented the mushrooming of disadvantageous upshots, unabated.
